Girls’ LEAP (Lifetime Empowerment and Awareness Program) is focused on promoting the safety and well-being of girls, women and their families in underserved communities through education programs. The Fellow will lead the Community Education Initiative to engage teenage girls and youth workers in dialog to raise awareness and build commitment to girls’ safety. The Fellow will also lead a portion of the Service Expansion Initiative to increase availability of girls-only programming to at-risk girls in the City of Boston and surrounding areas.

Compensation/Benefits: For a one year full-time commitment and 1700 hours of AmeriCorps service Fellows receive:
A taxable living allowance of $250/week ¨ Comprehensive health care benefits ¨ Excellent training opportunities ¨ FREE courses at Northeastern University ¨ Loan forbearance and a $4,725 educational award
