The Development Director reports to the Executive Director, and is responsible for working with the Development Coordinator and Board Fund Development Committee in the development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all fundraising activities in order to ensure adequate income to operate the organization's programs and services. This includes, but is not limited to, planning, research, proposal writing, event planning, prospect cultivation, solicitation and donor record keeping.
Qualifications:
Strong commitment to BAGLY's mission. At least 3 - 5 years experience, leadership and successful track record in the fields of fundraising, event management and grant writing, particularly with community-based non-profit organizations. Strong supervisory, management, and project/organizational planning skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with GLBT, foundation, corporate and philanthropic communities preferred. People of Color, Women and Transgender People are strongly encouraged to apply.
