The Permanency Mediation Program is developing a new position for a Permanency Mediation Trainer and Mediator. This is a full time position, based in Boston. The person to fill this position must be a permanency mediator able to handle a case load as well as assist in designing, implementing, developing and delivering specialized Permanency Mediation training, basic mediation training and all continuing education workshops.

 
Qualifications:
A Masters degree in social work or related field. A minimum of 20 hours of specialized permanency mediation training and 30 hours of basic mediation training are required. Completion of 24 hours of Adoption Competency Training and/or one year supervised professional work experience with permanency planning of children and adolescents in the foster care system. A minimum of three years of work experience in developing, writing and presenting public presentations are required, as well as demonstrated skills in actively listening to and engaging diverse audiences. Experience in a multi-cultural environment a plus. Bi-lingual (Spanish) capacity preferred.
