COME JOIN AN AMAZING SUMMER PROGRAM FOR TEENS:The Interfaith Youth Initiative (IFYI), a program of Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries (CMM) and its member congregations in partnership with Episcopal Divinity School, is seeking teens (ages 15-18) to participate in an amazing institute this summer, from Sunday, July 13 to Sunday, July 20.
This year's theme for the Interfaith Youth Initiative (IFYI) is "Be the Change You Wish to See in the World." The program offers a dynamic mix of community building, fun social activities, workshops, service experiences, and learning trips which engage urban and suburban realities. Youth express their visions of faith, justice, and peace through visual art, poetry/spoken word, theological reflection, dance, drama, and film.
IFYI will take place on the campus of the Episcopal Divinity School, 99 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 (right outside Harvard Square). Fees for teen participants this summer are on a sliding scale from 0 to $750 with partial and full scholarships available on a first come, first served basis. Students may come as overnight residents on campus or as day participants.
The program will conclude with an AMAZING PUBLIC EVENT: A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION/COOKOUT and ARTS EXTRAVAGANZA Saturday evening, July 19, at EDS. Bring a group to enjoy music, dance, spoken work, film, and delicious food on a summer evening in Harvard Square. This is a FUN fundraiser.
