Details

The Stock Market Challenge offers students a unique and fun opportunity to enjoy team-based decision making and a day comparable to Wall Street. When trading commences, students roam the trading floor taking buy-sell orders on Pocket PCs. The orders are wirelessly sent to the computer database where they are tracked and team results and rankings are displayed in real time on a large screen. Two other screens identify the current trading day, stock pricing, and stock performance. The atmosphere is very much like a real trading floor; lots of noise and enthusiasm enhanced by state-of-the-art computer technology and large projection screens.

Trading is done for a total of 60 minutes. During the trading, several issues of stock tip news releases are available, providing traders with some valuable and fun information related to their stocks. The object of the game is for teams to create as much net worth in their investment portfolio as possible.

Please consider bringing teams of four to this fast paced, educational event. Your after school program/school may have as many teams as desired and their participation will be sponsored by a contributing sponsor.
