FREE WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS!Bringing Out the Best In Your Child – May 8, 2008 @ 6:00pm – 8:00pm
This workshop focuses on the many ways in which parents can make a difference in their children’s lives – in how children believe in themselves, develop resilience and strengths, interests and passions, friendships and values that allow them to flourish and encourage their best selves to emerge. (All ages)
Helping Children Express and Manage Their Anger – May 22, 2008 @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Anger is a normal and unavoidable part of growing up. It can also be one of the most difficult emotions for parents to handle as children often act out their anger through misbehavior. This session helps parents understand typical anger triggers and responses in children. Strategies for helping children express their anger in healthy and productive ways are shared. (Ages 5-18)
Fighting and Biting In Young Children – May 29, 2008 @ 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Very young children often express their feelings and frustrations by biting. This workshop will address reasons why young children bite and will help parents identify strategies for controlling it. (Ages 1-5)
