The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) on Boston's beautiful waterfront is
putting a creative spin on summer school for teenagers. The ICA presents the
following series of three summer programs that are free for Boston public
high school students:

Anish Kapoor-3D modeling workshop, Saturday June 21, 11am-3pm

The workshop looks at works by artist Anish Kapoor, on view in a major
exhibition at the ICA this summer. Students will create the ideal digital
space to house his sculptures, which range in size from the intimate to the
monumental. Students will take a tour of the show, followed by a hands-on
workshop where they will learn to use the 3D modeling program SketchUp to
design their own virtual museum.

South African Artist Nicholas Hlobo, Tuesday, July 29 through Friday, August
1, 1-5pm
Teens interested in singing, dance, performance, or digital video and
photography can spend a week with Hlobo in a collaborative project that
explores issues of gender, power, and identity. Nicholas Hlobo will discuss
his work and motifs, and give a public performance and multi-disciplinary
forum for teens to foster empowerment through creative expression.

Summer Video Bootcamp, Tuesday, August 12 through Friday, August 15, 1-5 pm
It is an intensive video, audio, and new media art program. Participants
meet daily, creating independent new media work for critique, presentation,
and distribution inspired by the ICA's permanent collection and the museum's
innovative architecture.
