Looking for essays, poems, raps, short stories, art, photography, anything that is produced by teens in the area to put in the paper under the new section devoted to youth work, Youth Voices. This column runs every other week and is very open to subject matter, style, everything. It's a great opportunity for anyone who wants to see their work reach a wider audience and to see their name in print!

We'd like to get material in by Monday of the week the issue runs. In each issue, we run the work, the name of the author, their age and preferably, the street they live on.

We're hoping that this will engage local youth more in the paper and in the community, as well as act as a bridge between youths and the larger neighborhood. If you're interested, please contact me at 617.266.6670 ext 240 or via email, lrodriguez@southendnews.com.
